CONSULTANT

Knowledge/ Skills/ Attitudes

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability.

Technical requires

  • Understanding of issues surrounding climate change, energy, greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability;
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards (PAS 2060);
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;

Will be a bonus:

  • General understanding of EU and Italian legislative frameworks;
  • Familiarity with a range of approaches to target setting including science-based target methodologies;

Languages

Knowledge of Italian and English, written and spoken.

Relationships

Reporting to a senior member of the Advisory Team, the Consultant will be required to work closely with all members of the team, both advisory and sales, to achieve Company objectives.

The role will be mostly office-based with a requirement to liaise with project team members, representatives from partner organisations.

Location

The candidate will work at the Carbonsink Office in Milan. Availability to travel in Italy and internationally depending on the tasks.

SENIOR CONSULTANT

Knowledge/ Skills/ Attitudes

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability.

Technical requires

  • Understanding of issues surrounding climate change, energy, greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability;
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards (PAS 2060);
  • Experience of Scope 3 value chain assessment techniques and methods;
  • Detailed understanding of EU and Italian legislative frameworks;
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Honours or Masters’ degree in a relevant subject.

Will be a bonus:

  • Familiarity with a range of approaches to target setting including science-based target methodologies, CDP, climate related risk assessment and scenario analysis;
  • Familiarity with the recommendations of TCFD and other publications aimed at supporting organisations address, manage and prepare against the impacts climate change;

Languages

  • English: Good level of spoken, reading and writing as a prerequisite;
  • A second language (German, Spanish or French) not mandatory but would be seen as a bonus.

Non-Technical (soft skills)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to produce well-presented, error-free results;
  • Experience working in a consultative manner to understand client needs and guide them to a solution, preferably demonstrated through client consulting engagements in the private sector;
  • Developing intellectual and commercial assets within the Company, with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to:
  • - Lead other advisory team members in the delivery of ad-hoc projects;
    - Manage complex project deliveries across multiple simultaneous client engagements.
  • Effective writing skills, with an ability to write concise, compelling and well-structured documents and reports;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and present information with confidence in front of an audienceand represent Carbonsink externally if required;
  • Commitment to supporting the team in a growing and dynamic business;
  • An ability to see the 'big picture', as well as focus on the detail.

Relationships

Reporting to the Head of Advisory Team, the Senior Consultant will be required to work closely with all members of the team, both advisory, management and sales, to achieve Company objectives. External relationships are a key part of the role, with a requirement to liaise with project team members, clients and representatives from partner organisations.

ANALYST

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Honours or Masters’ degree in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability, or in grade to complete his Master degree (end of the year stage).

  • Basic knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants);
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;

SALES MANAGER

To expand our workforce, we are looking for a sales manager for the Italian market.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Attitudes

The candidate will take care of acquiring new potential customers of:
- Environmental certificates (such as carbon credits, renewable energy certificates);
- Projects certified by the highest international standards (Gold Standard, Verified Carbon Standard).

The candidate must also provide support in the definition of new specific products by sector / customer.

Technical requires

  • Previous experience of 3-5 years in sales with specialization in energy markets, environmental certificates, renewable energy, guarantees of origin;
  • Sensitivity to environmental issues;
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Languages

Knowledge of Italian and English, written and spoken.

Relationships

The candidate will have the opportunity to work within a team specialized in a dynamic and strongly growing sector. The candidate will mainly refer to the Senior member, the candidate will be asked to work closely with all team members, both consultancy and sales, to achieve the company objectives.
