CONSULTANT

Knowledge/ Skills/ Attitudes

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability.

Technical requires

  • Understanding of issues surrounding climate change, energy, greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability;
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards (PAS 2060);
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Honours or Masters’ degree in a relevant subject.

Will be a bonus:

  • General understanding of EU and Italian legislative frameworks;
  • Familiarity with a range of approaches to target setting including science-based target methodologies;

Languages

  • English: Good level of spoken, reading and writing as a prerequisite;
  • A second language (German, Spanish or French) not mandatory but would be seen as a bonus.

Non-Technical (soft skills)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to produce well-presented, error-free results;
  • Ability to work in a consultative manner while assisting to client meetings supporting a more senior team guiding the client toward solutions;
  • Developing intellectual and commercial assets within the Company, with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to:
  • - Manage and lead ad-hoc project on his own;
    - Support Senior consultant in complex project deliveries across multiple simultaneous client engagements;
  • Effective writing skills, with an ability to write concise, compelling and well-structured documents and reports;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and present information with confidence in front of an audienceand represent Carbonsink externally if required;
  • Commitment to supporting the team in a growing and dynamic business;
  • An ability to see the 'big picture', as well as focus on the detail.

Relationships

Reporting to a senior member of the Advisory Team, the Consultant will be required to work closely with all members of the team, both advisory and sales, to achieve Company objectives.

The role will be mostly office-based with a requirement to liaise with project team members, representatives from partner organisations.

Location

The role will be based in our Milan office. However, the successful applicant will be required to travel within Italy and internationally on assignment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability.

Technical requires

  • Understanding of issues surrounding climate change, energy, greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability;
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards (PAS 2060);
  • Experience of Scope 3 value chain assessment techniques and methods;
  • Detailed understanding of EU and Italian legislative frameworks;
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Honours or Masters’ degree in a relevant subject.

Will be a bonus:

  • Familiarity with a range of approaches to target setting including science-based target methodologies, CDP, climate related risk assessment and scenario analysis;
  • Familiarity with the recommendations of TCFD and other publications aimed at supporting organisations address, manage and prepare against the impacts climate change;

Languages

  • English: Good level of spoken, reading and writing as a prerequisite;
  • A second language (German, Spanish or French) not mandatory but would be seen as a bonus.

Reporting to the Head of Advisory Team, the Senior Consultant will be required to work closely with all members of the team, both advisory, management and sales, to achieve Company objectives. External relationships are a key part of the role, with a requirement to liaise with project team members, clients and representatives from partner organisations.

The role will be based in our Milan office. However, the successful applicant will be required to travel within Italy and internationally on assignment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Honours or Masters’ degree in a relevant subject within carbon, energy and sustainability, or in grade to complete his Master degree (end of the year stage).

  • Basic knowledge of carbon accounting includingstandards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants);
  • Good data handling skills and advanced knowledge of Excel;

Non-Technical (soft skills)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to produce well-presented, error-free results;
  • Ability to work in a consultative manner within a team but also able to manage his/her own’s daily duties;
  • Developing intellectual skills within the Company, with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to:
  • - Manage simple project with the support of other team members;
    - Support the team within complex project deliveries across multiple simultaneous client engagements.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER EUROPE

The Business Development Manager will have strong commercial acumen and play a pivotal role in Carbonsink’s growth strategy in Europe. He will reportdirectly to the Managing Directors.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling carbon credits and GHG reporting services to the private sector. Furthermore, it will have a good understanding of carbon neutrality standards and overall strong sustainability marketing knowledge, as well as understanding supply chain product climate impacts.

To be considered for the role, the candidate must have a technical understanding of carbon markets this includes knowledge in the project development process of carbon mitigation, as well as understanding of standards such as Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) and Compliance Emission Rights (CERs).

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for analyzingClient needs and presenting solutions in a timely manner and with the highest standards. This includes the preparation of proposals andpresentations, working very closely with the consultants and marketing teams.

This role can be based in one of the main European cities such as Milan, London, Paris, Madrid, etc.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Good business sense, successfully delivered sales-led growth for a business providing climate action solutions and services;
Strong Network in the European Companies involved in climate change strategies implementation and successful track record in closing significant deals with such companies;
In deep knowledge of Carbon Credits market;
Results and execution driven character;
Demonstrated experience in working alone in the field;
Demonstrated experience in direct field sales;
Deep understanding of marketing principles;
Good communication skills, a positive attitude and strong negotiation skills:
- proficient in English language, written and oral
- Willingness to travel

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Negotiate and close deals with existing and new clients;
Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings;
Planning and preparing presentations;
Communicating new product developments to prospective clients;
Overseeing the development of specific marketing and communication materials;
Writing reports and Proposal;
Providing management with feedback;
Represent Carbonsink in meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows;
Engage with larger corporates in the EU region, particularly those that are interest in developing and financing climate mitigation projects and purchase high quality offsets;
Support Carbonsink in developing innovative products and services;
Engage with international donor, development banks and impact funds to co-finance l climate / biodiversity programs develop by Carbonsink
