Net-zero Economy event inaugurates GCNI "Climate Series"
Milano, 4 febbraio 2021 -
In February the Global Compact Network Italy (GCNI) launches the "Climate Series", an initiative to highlight companies' role in achieving the Paris Agreement's objectives and the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The event that inaugurates the "Climate Series" is the webinar "Net-zero Economy: from legislation to new practices", to be held on Wednesday 11 February at 11.00 am (CET).
The webinar goes into the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities and the TCFD recommendations on climate-related financial disclosures for corporate reporting. Two essential tools that the European Union is integrating into the plan to achieve its climate goals (-55% by 2030, net-zero by 2050), focusing on greater transparency and accountability of the private sector.
The webinar offers participants an overview of the two regulatory tools, accompanied by virtuous examples from Italian companies that illustrate their practical application.
Andrea Maggiani, Managing Director and Founder of Carbonsink, gives a speech about the use of the Taxonomy and TCFD reporting in the private sector, presenting the opportunities and perspectives of these two tools that are becoming an integral part of the transition to net-zero emissions.
Carbonsink promotes the "Climate Series" and collaborates in its production.
