Methodologies and Tools to Evaluate the Financial Impact of Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities

Carbonsink is proud to take part in the workshop "Methodologies and Tools to Evaluate the Financial Impact of Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities", scheduled for November 15 from 9.00 to 14.30 at the Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation in Milan.

Through the participation of international experts, the seminar will present some of the most interesting tools and methods in the field of climate risk and opportunity disclosure. The seminar will be completed by a round table during which asset managers will discuss the importance of assessing the degree of risk associated with business activities in the most precise way.

The demand for disclosure of climate-related risks and opportunities has indeed increased, and companies are responding by implementing reporting frameworks such as the recommendations made by the Task Force on climate-related financial information (TCFD).

An effective methodology for assessing the financial impacts of climate-related risks and opportunities is a priority for the dissemination of businesses and investors. A number of think tanks and research centers have already begun to provide the systems and market tools to meet the demand for information, in particular with regard to the risks of energy transition and the physical risks associated with climate change.

Carbonsink will present, thanks to the intervention of Vincent Reulet, Head of Advisory Carbonsink, his vision linked to the central role of the financial sector and to the importance of adopting new sustainable financial instruments for the transition to a zero-emission world.

Precisely because of the crucial importance linked to the dissemination of climate-related risks and opportunities in climate change mitigation, Carbonsink has decided to publish the report "The perception of the climate risk of listed companies on the FTSE MIB" in recent months, to find out how companies Italians manage to integrate the climate change variable into their strategy.

The workshop "Methodologies and Tools to Evaluate the Financial Impact of Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities" is part of a series of events promoted by the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum (ItaSif) within the SRI Week.

The event will be held in English.
