CDP official disclosure 2019
On Monday 1 April 2019, the new CDP disclosure is open.
CDP is the most important greenhouse gas emissions reporting system in the private sector. Every year, over 6,000 companies representing 1/3 of the world's GDP are required to communicate their emission measurement and risk management strategies and opportunities associated with climate change effects.
From 2017 Carbonsink is a CDP partner company in Italy for Climate Change Reporting. As the only accredited CDP partner in Italy, Carbonsink helps companies to improve the compilation of the CDP questionnaire, assessing the company's climate risk both at strategic and operational level.
The objective is to facilitate the use of the CDP reporting system regardless of the level of preparation of the Company and to support the organization during the work of collecting data and filling in the questionnaire and in all those activities useful for improving its climate strategy and then your own score.
Also this year, Carbonsink confirms and renews its commitment to providing strategic advice to companies on the risks and opportunities associated with climate change. Carbonsink helps companies integrate their climate impact into strategic decisions through different possible activities, such as:
- Definition of a climate risk strategy
- Definition of emission reduction targets (eg Science Based Targets or targets specific to the business model)
- Alignment with the requests of its stakeholders
- Integration of the climate strategy in the CDP reporting system, DJSI and in the non-financial statement.
The CDP initiative is also supported by the Ministry of Environment in order to encourage the private sector to undertake a sustainable, low-carbon economic path.
