Carbonsink is proud to announce its participation at "COOPERA", the First National Conference on Development Cooperation, scheduled for 24 and 25 January at the ‘Auditorium Parco della Musica’ in Rome.
The event is entirely dedicated to the world of Italian Cooperation and its opportunities, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). Important institutional figures such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano, Deputy Minister Mario Giro, Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda, Minister of Environment Gian Luca Galletti and others are among the attendees.
Carbonsink will speak at the round table dedicated to the "Private Sector" on Wednesday 24 at 3pm, an opportunity to discuss the increasingly important and decisive role of companies in development cooperation programs and align with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Enhancing the knowledge and skills of the Italian business system to make development cooperation effective and efficient; this is the aim of the round table. "The private sector and new partnerships to create decent work and sustainable development" moderated by Coopermondo Director, Danilo Salerno.
Carbonsink will talk about its role in the first program, "Climate Finance for urban development", carried out in a district of Maputo (capital of Mozambique), demonstrating how the use of Climate Finance mechanisms became possible to sustainably scale up the project over time.
The project in Mozambique, in addition to the significant reduction of CO2 emissions and the contribution of climate change mitigation, has brought important local benefits, in line with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Carbonsink develops and supports projects to promote energy efficiency, conserve natural resources and improve the living conditions of the local population, collaborating for a possible and concrete change and demonstrating the fundamental contributions that companies can have in aiming for the full achievement of sustainable development.
What do we do for a more equitable economic development and globalization? How do we defend human rights and fight climate change? These questions and much more will be addressed in the two days of meetings, debates with experts from the field, companies, testimonials and guests from the world of culture to understand how cooperation creates opportunities for growth and work for all.
