Carbon Disclosure Project 2019: new scores online

CDP, the most important reporting system in the private sector, has published, as it does every year on its website, the complete list of companies that have decided to answer the CDP questionnaire and the relative results.

CDP questionnaires help the private sector to communicate effectively its strategies for measuring emissions and managing the risks and opportunities associated with the effects of climate change. Over 8,400 companies engaged in disclosure via CDP this year - a 20% increase over the previous year.

The companies that have joined the best known reporting system represent over 50% of the global market capitalization. As a demonstration of the growing interest by companies to consider aspects related to "Climate Change" by implementing a concrete climate change mitigation strategy, capable of supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Among the 179 companies selected by CDP in the "Climate Change A List" at global level, also four Italian excellences: Brembo S.p.A, Intesa San Paolo, Pirelli, and ENEL which is added to the 3 leading companies in CDP disclosure last year.

Companies that want to operate on a global market must be able to demonstrate to their customers that they are capable of responding to increasingly stringent environmental and climate policies. Demonstrating transparency and a strong commitment in the fight against climate change for companies is no longer just an opportunity, but a question of competitiveness over time.

As an exclusive CDP partner in Italy, Carbonsink can help companies prepare a complete CDP presentation. It supports and helps the company to understand the risks and impacts associated with its company's climate change. This includes the assessment and quantification of climatic risks at both strategic and operational level throughout the organization, calculating the emissions of the entire production chain and providing general support.
