Carbon Disclosure Project 2018: new scores out now

The most important private reporting system, the Carbon Disclosure Project, published this morning on its website the complete list of companies that have decided to respond to the CDP questionnaire and its results.

CDP questionnaires help the private sector effectively communicate their emissions measurement strategies and manage risks and opportunities associated with climate change effects. This year, more than 7,000 companies have engaged in dissemination via CDP - an increase of 11% over the previous year.

The companies that have joined the most well-known reporting system represent over 50% of the global market capitalization. To demonstrate the growing interest on the part of companies to consider the aspects related to "Climate Change" by implementing a strategy to mitigate concrete climate change, able to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

More than 50 Italian companies have responded to the CDP questionnaire on climate change, proving that a new model of climate risk management for the private sector is also emerging in Italy. Among the 125 companies selected by CDP in the "Climate Change A List" at a global level, also three Italian excellences: Brembo S.p.A, Intesa San Paolo and Pirelli.
