CarbonSink: Sustainability is a Matter of Business

CarbonSink  is  a  highly  specialized  consultancy  company  focused  on  the  development  of sustainability strategies and on the compensation of CO2 emissions. Thanks to the recognition as an Academic Spin-Off by the Florence University and the background of its staff, CarbonSink mainly focuses on mitigation projects aimed at reducing and offsetting the greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions in the atmosphere. In line with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) provision, CarbonSink assists its clients in their plans to reduce and offset their GHGs emissions.

Furthermore, CarbonSink also supports private and public organizations and NGOs in designing and developing carbon projects, most of which have successfully generated high quality certified carbon credits with important social, economic and environmental co-benefits. Following the needs of its clients, CarbonSink’s core projects are mainly located in Africa and Latin America (e.g. Mozambique, Ghana, D.R. of Congo, South Africa, Senegal, Kenya, Bolivia, Perù)

Since its establishment, CarbonSink mainly focuses on reaching high levels of transparency throughout its carbon initiatives and on significantly contributing to innovating the carbon market. In spring 2015, CarbonSink launched the first Italian B2B platform to purchase certified voluntary carbon credits carefully selected by our experts: www.faircarbon.it. FAIRCARBON is a boutique collecting what, in our view, are just the best available carbon projects.

CarbonSink is a member of IETA (International Emission Trading Association) and the only Italian company accepted as a member of ICROA (International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance). CarbonSink is part of Cloros (link), an industrial group, providing the company the necessary financial and operational stability.
